Collector Guide
Overview
Since 1961, the Kentucky State Coin Show has upheld rigorous standards for coin authentication, grading verification, and fair trading practices. Our guidelines ensure that every attendee, from seasoned numismatists to beginner collectors, experiences a secure, transparent, and educational atmosphere on the bourse floor.
All participating dealers are vetted and required to follow strict ethical codes regarding pricing transparency, provenance reporting, and counterfeit detection. Bourse security personnel and expert graders are present throughout the event to assist with evaluation.
Please review our trading, grading, and security procedures before attending the exhibition.
Coin Standards
We recognize top third-party grading services including PCGS and NGC. All raw coins submitted for bourse trading must undergo preliminary evaluation at our designated authentication table to maintain show integrity and protect collectors.
For appraisals or high-value transactions, please request a formal evaluation form at the bourse administration desk.
Note
Armed security and video surveillance operate continuously across the exhibition center. Unauthorised solicitation, unregistered trading outside designated tables, and unverified coin swapping are strictly prohibited.
